Typical Relaxing Day in Bali

Hello again! Can’t believe it’s August already and it’s been almost three months since my previous Bali post. Before it’s too late and while still summer, let’s share more of Bali’s summer trip.

Bali’s weather is always perfect for swimming. Infinity pool seems a normal type of pool in Bali’s accommodation, especially in the Ubud and Uluwatu area, and you’d enjoy a nice scenery in addition to your swim.

If I don’t feel like swimming, reading a book or relaxing by the pool is also one of my favourite things to do.

I can say that Bali is quite a food heaven. You can find almost every kind of cuisine with various price ranges. One thing I like is to have brunch post-swimming, where I can enjoy good food and it’s usually not a crowded time.

If you’re staying in the Ubud area, I’d recommend either taking a walk in Tegallalang rice fields or just enjoying the view from the top. Tegallalang rice field is a terraced landscape of lush green paddies in the Ubud area and it’s a UNESCO world heritage site.

A pretty sunset would be your normal daily view. This one was taken from Ubud.

While this sunset view was taken from Benoa.

After my trip to Bali this year, one thing I find relaxing is listening to rindik music while I’m doing my activities on the weekend at home. Rindik is one of the traditional Balinese instruments. Rindik music has been an integral part of Balinese, played at religious ceremonies and it’s used for various entertainment purposes. You can listen to the relaxing rindik music here.
