Hello! Hope everyone’s doing great. We’re officially in March 2025! February seemed to breeze by, but it left behind some good learnings worth revisiting.
So, what’s in February?
1. Just watched Conclave and it still blows my mind.Conclave is a political thriller based on the 2016 book of the same name. It gives a different type of thriller as it feels like a combination of murder mystery, except without any murder, and a hint of drama. The film is beautifully shot and the cinematography is just amazing. It’s very eye-pleasing! Although I could expect the ending, I just noticed small details every now and then only after watching the movie. I also learned about some papal stuff (and am still learning!); like papal attire, how papal conclave works, etc. and health abnormalities. Don’t want to spoil here but I’d totally recommend you watch this film.2. Started to spend more morning time outdoors. It’s something hard, especially during winter days, but I noticed even if it’s for a quick walk, it can make a difference in a few ways: increases step count for the day and (hopefully) less screen time to start off a day.3. Tried a new easy recipe: tuna & egg whites-loaded salad. As I’m quite lazy while I also want to be healthier at the same time, I often try to find a healthy quick recipe for my meals so I don’t spend too much but still have a good healthy meal.4. Tried another new easy recipe: light Caesar salad with grilled BBQ chicken. I’ve been making this recipe for quite some time throughout February. Hopefully, I’ll find new easy recipes in the upcoming months!5. As I mentioned in my last post, I’m still learning about all things matcha including… how to whisk matcha using a bamboo whisk (called “chasen”) properly. Whisking matcha using chasen in a matcha bowl is tricky but therapeutic at the same time. You need to prepare the chasen by soaking it in warm water before whisking and the way to whisk matcha is using your wrist, not with your entire arm, quickly & without giving too much pressure at the bottom of the matcha bowl. Still very much a work in progress but still keep on learning!
Well, that’s all for now. Still lots of work in progress and things to learn as we enter March, but hopefully will try to post more and share what I learn in the upcoming months. Wishing everyone a joyful March and Ramadhan Kareem to all my friends celebrating!
